october grew up as the eldest, and the black sheep, of the family, in a household of two younger brothers and sister. plus mother and father, of course. being the 'eldest' started at six or seven, and got worse from there. at ten, october was regularly in charge of their two brothers, and they were left home alone often. at fifteen, all three brothers were in charge of their baby sister. they were functionally abandoned, except for a monthly stipend sent from abroad to keep the lights on in a home their father owned. at sixteen, october began working whatever job he could, trying to provide for more than just the bare minimum for all four of them. he continued this lifestyle until he was 22, and his oldest brother was able to work at 16. october was already working full-time at the local liquor store, so the two of them were able to make things decent for a bit while he continued to put money away for his siblings to go to college. at 24, his oldest brother went to college while he was getting into moderating a gothic forum online, working as the shipping lead of the liquor store. at 26, both his brothers were in college and he was making enough to support his little sister still living with him while enjoying trips & going to middle school with his support. at 29, his sister moved in with a friend in the neighborhood whose family understood their situation and became as close to his little family as their own. from now, he lived alone, slowly making the place suit his taste as he knew his parents wouldn't ever be returning. he'd been paying everything all by himself since he was 18, after all. his mental issues over the years have fluctuated greatly-at times he was a functioning alcoholic. at 32, he began taking greater steps to understand himself more, and reaching out to make more friends.

⋆lives in a tiny house in massachusetts bequeathed to him by his parents, it's a little run down but it is home. tucked away in side streets and in a more affordable neighborhood. his windows glow the color of his LEDs at night, casting a liminal glow to the road in the dark. he finds this to be the coziest ever.
